Q & A with Heartbreak to Heart’s Desire author Dawn Maslar
Why did you write Heartbreak to Heart’s Desire?
Fairly recently it was reported that U.S. residents spent $500 million on online dating and personals. That’s a lot of people out there looking for love. So why aren’t there more success stories?
Unfortunately, most people don’t understand the secret to finding love.
I was one of those people who wanted love. I ended up caught in an agonizing off-again, on-again relationship. One night when the pain and frustration became great enough, I fell to my knees and cried out to God for help. I believe what happened next was the answer to my prayer. I was led on a journey of self discovery and self love.
I was told you can’t love someone else until you learn to love yourself. But, no one told me how. This book is a culmination of my quest for an answer. I share my journey in hopes of helping other women. I learned techniques that I put together in a practical, comprehensive, step-by-step method. The reader learns the importance of honoring herself. She learns how to listen to her inner voice. She is given techniques to heal her soul and come to terms with her past. I tell the story of how I learned of a devastating family secret that was sabotaging my relationships.
