Philip Hemphill, PhD, LCSW, is the Chief Clinical Officer of Lakeview Health a premier addiction treatment facility where he is responsible for the planning, organizing, implementing and directing all of the company’s behavioral health and other clinical services with cost effective methodologies while ensuring the clinical quality of those services. As a member of the Executive Leadership, he works collaboratively with medical staff leaders in decision making structures and processes.  He is the lead person for developing and implementing plans for provision of patient care services and policies and procedures that delineate how patient care needs are assessed and delivered by the company.  He works collaboratively with the Marketing Department to present at local, regional and national workshops/conferences on behalf of Lakeview Health and with Client Services Department to act as a liaison for new and returning referral sources.  He oversee the development, implementation of peer review system and a quality assurance program and operations of inpatient/residential clinical services to assure contract compliance.  He assist current leadership with the review of credentialing and privileging for company system professional staff, recruitment of new professional staff, and development of new clinical programs and affiliations.

Dr. Hemphill has been a consultant and professional educator for the past 22 years to numerous behavioral health and healthcare organizations.  He has provide trainings to the Federation of State Medical Boards, the Federation of Physician Health Programs, American College of Physician Executives, American College of Healthcare Executives, American Psychiatric Association, American Psychological Association, and National Association of Social Workers.  He has provided on-site workplace re-integration to over 50 healthcare professionals during the past 11 years across the United States and Canada and provided professional monitoring to hundreds of professionals in healthcare, legal, academic, and business settings.

Dr. Hemphill has been the Director of the Professional Enhancement Program at Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services for the past 11 years where he’s responsible for the management and clinical supervision of professional patients in an intensive outpatient/residential setting struggling with addictive, behavioral, and personality disorders.  He assist with evaluation, treatment planning, direct clinical care, fitness for duty issues, staff training, vocational and professional reintegration, workplace monitoring, staff development, coaching, and administrative management of the program.
